Bromeliads for Use in Full Sun!
There are some bromeliads which can tolerate full sun. Although they tolerate
this condition, it is not always ideal. All bromeliads prefer some mid-day
shading. If however, you need to plant in the sunlight, here are some tips
to help you keep good quality:

When possible, planting in the cooler months (between October and April) is best.
This will give time to acclimate to the hot summer sun. Planting during the summer
will cause bleached or burned foliage.

Avoid planting near asphalt white painted walls or over
decorative white chips.

Do not pour mulch more than an inch deep under bromeliads,
use minimally.

Do not fertilize heavily in full sun, this will cause
new tender growth to burn easily.
